Parade of Lights

The Fruita Parade of Lights is an annual, nighttime holiday parade and a community-wide celebration. Local businesses, organizations, and residents come together to build floats and bring the holiday to life. It’s often the highlight of the season and marks the “official” start of the holiday festivities for many. The theme this year is "Whimsical Woods" so come dressed in your festive, yet warm gear to watch this winter wonderland unfold.

The Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair is a community-oriented marketplace event where local artisans and other talented vendors come together to sell their unique items. This is a great opportunity to do some holiday shopping while simultaneously supporting the creative makers. Here, you’ll find the perfectly unique gift, and the atmosphere makes the experience feel like so much more than just shopping.
Ugly Sweater 5K

$35 entry- includes entry, craft brew or hot chocolate and a custom pint glass or water bottle. Kids 12 and under run free.

The Fruita Ugly Sweater 5K is a social 5-kilometer run/walk held in Fruita, inviting participants to show up in their most “ugly” (and ridiculous) holiday sweaters. The event kicks off at Copper Club Brewing Company and is followed by a lively, post-race celebration including music, seasonal brews, and hot chocolate. There’s also a ugly sweater contest that benefits Girls on the Run Western Colorado. Here is the event schedule which can also be found on the Grand Valley Brew Runs website:
Cookies and Claus

Kids aged 0-10 years can come and visit Santa Claus, enjoy cookies and hot chocolate, and even write letters to the North Pole! It’s a fun way for the little ones to get into the holiday cheer and create lasting memories.
