Our Top Picks from the International Builders’ Show
Our team is back from the International Builders’ Show, and it's safe to say that they came home with full notebooks (and maybe a little sensory overload). They spent the week scouting the latest and greatest, and while it was tough to narrow down favorites, a few members are excited to share what stole the spotlight.
Different members of our team focused on their specialties at the show. Naomi Thayer, our Marketing Coordinator with a sharp eye for trends and unique design, and Abby Silzell, our Sales and Operations Coordinator who knows what works in the real world, spotted some standout innovations.

Abby highlighted the new KitchenAid JennAir venting system. Instead of a massive, noisy hood hanging over your head, they’ve tucked the tech right into the range top.
Meanwhile, Naomi took us in a different direction. If Abby’s pick was about making the vent disappear, Naomi’s was about making it the star of the show. In a unique kitchen setup with a bold striped backsplash, the hood itself became a true focal point. It was adorned with ceramic flowers and a mosaic of tiles that had been broken and pieced back together. This was a useful reminder that venting doesn’t have to be purely utilitarian and can also be enjoyed.
This show is an amazing example of how modern design can meet many needs. You can choose to tuck the innovation away or turn it into a stunning focal point. Choosing favorites was tough–Kohler, for example, had a massive floor display showcasing all their latest tech and showers. Overwhelming? Yes. But inspiring? Absolutely. Some of these ideas came back with us to apply directly to Copper Creek homes, while others are just fun to admire.
