This past month Fruita welcomed a new Italian restaurant, Josephine's. Described as a celebration of Italian Cuisine, with dishes inspired by the owners grandmothers recipe and dishes.

Naomi and several friends recently went to try it out and kind enough to take us along.

Josephine’s strikes a perfect balance between traditional Italian classics and creative, modern twists. Their pizza dough is hand-stretched and baked in a wood-fired oven, delivering that unmistakable smoky, authentic flavor every time

"I had heard there was a new restaurant coming to town and when the idea of picking a restaurant for a girls night came up, the first place I thought I was Josephine‘s!"

Naomi shared her thoughts about her night here "The location is perfect, especially if you are in the Fruita area and has a nice outside seating right in front of the restaurant and ample amount of seating inside. I really enjoyed that the menu had a large variety, but was not overwhelming. The group of girls I was with ended up sharing four different dishes, so we could all get a taste of something different! The fresh baked bread basket was the perfect starter, the pizza was cooked to perfection and the pasta was dreamy. It was definitely worth a stop and the next opportunity I get, I will definitely be returning to try some more dishes off of their menu!"

All in all, Josephine’s feels like a genuine gem and a fantastic addition to Fruita’s dining scene. Whether you’re craving a cozy date-night spot or just really good Italian food, it’s already one of our top recommendations.
